Montenegro has received financing from the WB toward the cost of the Industrial Waste Management and Clean-up Project (IWMCP). The IWMCP aims to (i) reduce the environmental and public health risks of selected industrial waste disposal sites through investments in environmental control measures and infrastructure for management of industrial waste; (ii) strengthen institutional capacity to regulate and manage industrial and hazardous waste; (iii) identify and estimate cost related mitigation measures and monitoring activities; (iv) consult the public and main stakeholders in relation with the project benefits and the related environmental and social issues.
